The Borough’s contractor for the Carlisle Springs Road Water Main Replacement Project, Ankiewicz Enterprises, began actual construction today on-site today. Over the next few months, they will replace approximately 2,000 feet of water main on Carlisle Springs Road. The existing pipe is over 100 years old and approaching the end of its operating life. Ankiewicz will be replacing the water main, as well as water valves, hydrants, and service lines in the area. This work will occur from E Street south to the railroad tracks.
The first step of the project is the installation of insertion valves at the north and south ends of the water main to isolate the main and cut service to the main.
